What are the fees for receiving transfers in USD in the account?

No fees for this concept.

What are the fees for converting USD into COP?

30 USD for each transaction and a margin of 30 Colombian pesos for each dollar you change.

Which rates will be used?

The spot or market rate at the moment you decide to convert the dollars, to that rate discount of 30 pesos which is the margin cost for the transaction.

What are the commissions involved for each transaction, eg payment to vendors in Colombia from the COP account?

We have no fees for that, however, Colombian laws have a tax called “4X1000” which means that always you will make a payment to a third person, we discount from the account 0.4% of the total value of each wire or transfer.

What is the difference between opening a bank account with another bank like Bancolombia?

The account in Corredores Davivienda is not a bank account it is a broker account, which means that is an account for investments between them and the conversation of currencies, although we can make payments it is not the main purpose, for that is better to have a bank account.

Are transfers from USD to COP more expensive on the Brokerage account compared to an account with Bancolombia?

Usually, we have better rates than banks, because you can convert the money directly with our trading desk and select the day you want to convert the money, and the costs are less than 1% of the transaction, sometimes banks are more expensive.

What is the minimum amount of USD or COP that needs to be held in the Account?

We do not have a minimum amount.

Will the brokerage account be in my name or the name of the SAS?

I received documents of the SAS, however, if you want to have your account you can open one, indeed it is easier than the company account, however with the personal account you are not able to do transactions different to currencies, because you are a foreigner, with the company account the company can do investments because the company is located in Colombia.

I suggest you open both accounts, a broker account with us, and a bank account with a bank in Colombia because our account is not specialized in do many payments.
